KP Govt to Set Up 20 New Tourism Sites & 5 Skiing Resorts

Not long ago, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government allocated Rs. 4 billion for the promotion of tourism within the province.
It has been revealed that a majority of the money allocated is being utilized for the rehabilitation of the infrastructure and construction of 20 new tourism sites along with 5 skiing resorts.
On Monday, KP’s Senior Minister for Tourism, Atif Khan, said:
The new visa policy would facilitate foreign tourists and promote tourism potential of the country.
The KP Minister, in a meeting with Shah Mehmood Qureshi, communicated their plans for the setup of these 20 new tourist sites and 5 skiing resorts.
He urged the Foreign Minister to work closely with the tourism industry to ensure that more and more people travel to Pakistan each year.
As of now, Islamabad currently has visa-on-arrival for visitors from 50 countries and electronic visas for tourists from 175 nationalities.
There is no denying that the deteriorating security and negative propaganda of Islamic laws has chipped away at the number of visitors. However, the situation is improving and with a growing economy, Pakistan is hoping for the best.
