PSL 2019 is right around the corner and you can feel it in the air. The excitement, the tussle for favourite team, the talks about best combinations, picking the best team for fantasy leagues and whatnot…PSL is happening again, this time bigger and better than ever.

PSL 2019 Schedule
PSL schedule will follow the same format as last year. The best thing is that a number of high profile players will be playing in front of the Pakistani crowds in Lahore and Karachi.
The PSL schedule 2019 follows the same format as before; there are two phases: league stage and play-offs.

Peshawar Zalmi were crowned champions in 2017 edition of the league under the captaincy of Darren Sammy, overpowering Quetta Gladiators in the final. The team finished 3rd in the inaugural season. 2018 edition saw Peshawar Zalmi clinch the runners up spot, losing to Islamabad United in the final. The team has a win percentage of 57.57, winning 19 out of 34 matches.
Quetta Gladiators
Quetta Gladiators have been performing brilliantly since the start of the league in 2016 under the captaincy of Sarfaraz Ahmed. The team, however, hasn’t been able to win the trophy despite consistent performances.
The fans of Quetta, however, remain confident their their beloved team can outperform others in PSL 2019. The PSL 2019 squad, match schedule for Quetta Gladiators is as following.

PSL 2019 Fixture Format
Six teams are set to play 10 matches each in the league stage, playing twice against each team. The winning team will get 2 points for a win, 1 for no result and 0 for a loss.
The league stage will be followed by the play-offs; the top 4 teams at the end of league stage will qualify for the play-offs. Team 1 and Team 2 will fight for the finals spot in Qualifier 1; the loser will play the winner of Eliminator 1 (Team 3 vs Team 4). The winner of Eliminator 2 will face the winner of Qualifier 1 for glory.
